Pretty satisfied so far!
Pretty satisfied so far. The Jawliner 3.0 ist made of high quality material and comes with three different difficulity levels. I ordered a similar device from another brand before that was cheaper but very bad material that didn't hold for long. This one is much better.

What is mewing?
Mewing, named after orthodontist Dr. Mike Mew, is a technique where you consciously position your tongue against the roof of your mouth. It may sound simple – but it works. Proper tongue posture helps stabilize the upper jaw, shapes your facial contour, and can even improve your overall posture over time. It also supports nasal breathing and helps reduce tension in the neck and jaw area.
The JAWLINER Mewing Ring: your training partner for real control
Mewing is all about precision – yet many people make mistakes without even noticing. That’s exactly where the Mewing Ring makes the difference: it gives you instant feedback on your tongue position, offering a clear advantage over passive methods.
The ring helps you permanently improve your tongue position and makes your mewing practice far more effective. With three resistance levels, it adapts to your personal progress – perfect for anyone who wants to train with structure and real results.
What are the specific benefits of the Mewing Ring?
-
Learn and maintain the correct tongue position
-
Supports the shaping of your jawline through improved jaw stability
-
Promotes healthy posture and relaxed mouth and jaw muscles
-

Is Mewing scientifically proven?
Mewing is rooted in principles of functional orthodontics and was developed under the guidance of Dr. Mike Mew. Many users report noticeable improvements, especially when practiced consistently over time.
The theory and practical applications have been independently described by several experts in the fields of jaw health and breathing, including in the following reference books:

Jaws: The Story of a Hidden Epidemic – Sandra Kahn & Paul R. Ehrlich
-
Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art – James Nestor

Mewing instructions with the JAWLINER Mewing Ring
How to use the Mewing Ring correctly:
-
Place the Mewing Ring on your tongue
Place the ring in the center of your tongue. The lettering should face downward. Make sure it sits securely and doesn’t slip. -
Press your tongue and the ring against the roof of your mouth
Position the ring in the center of your tongue and press your entire tongue – not just the tip! – evenly against the roof of your mouth.
Important: The ring is straight in its initial form. The human palate, however, is curved – which means that when you press the ring up against it, it automatically bends into that shape. That takes strength!
This tension isn’t a side effect – it’s intentional. You’re actively training your tongue muscles while developing a healthy tongue posture.
💡 Note on difficulty:
Since everyone has different levels of tongue strength, we’ve developed the ring in three resistance levels.
👉 If holding the ring in its curved position becomes easy, move up to the next resistance level. That way, your training grows with your progress – just like strength training. -
Use suction – hold the ring against the palate
Now it gets interesting: try actively sucking your tongue onto the roof of your mouth while the ring is in place. The hole in the ring creates a slight vacuum – this suction helps to stabilize the ring even further.
But be aware: even with this suction, you’ll still need strength to hold the ring in its curved position. Hold this position for as long as you can – then consciously relax.
This exercise not only builds muscle strength, but also trains your tongue’s endurance and control. The most important part: with regular practice, you’ll automatically develop the correct tongue posture.
Your tongue gets stronger with every session, and the repeated motion helps you anchor the correct position subconsciously – so over time, you’ll use it naturally throughout the day. -
Teeth closed – but no pressure
Your teeth should lightly touch without clenching. Keep your lips gently closed. -
Breathe only through your nose
During the exercise, breathe calmly through your nose. This is a key part of the mewing technique. -
More strength. Better posture. Faster results.
🔄 What happens when you train with the ring?
✔ Your tongue gets stronger
✔ You learn proper tongue posture
✔ You build muscle memory – the position becomes a habit
✔ You apply continuous pressure to the upper palate -
⚙️ This is Hard-Mewing:
Instead of just passively holding your tongue up, you actively use strength –
for maximum effect on jaw shape, posture, and breathing.
🚀 The result:
Your body adapts to mewing.
You visibly speed up your progress.
How long and how often?
-
Beginners: Start with 5 to 10 minutes per day
-
Advanced: 15 to 20 minutes daily
-
Maximum recommendation: 30 minutes per session
The Mewing Ring is not intended for continuous wear – it is a training aid to automate the correct tongue position and increase tongue strength.
A few more tips:
-
Use the ring while sitting or standing – not while lying down.
-
Ideally, use it in front of a mirror so you can consciously observe your posture.
-
Clean it with warm water after each use and let it air dry.
